HELLO 2018...

I am 10 days late with this blog post, I wanted to have it up on January 1st but better late than never. As i've done for the past 2 years, I want to look back at the year before, the goals I had and looking forward to the future.

2017 was a good year, I grew a lot as a person and a professional. I started 2017 as a recent graduate, as I finished my undergraduate in December 2016. I spent a month just relaxing, gathering my thoughts and planning for future goals. I starting of the year I also planned my first ever shoot all by myself, which was a great accomplishment for myself. After my month of relaxation was over I started to apply to some jobs, I also had a couple of interviews. After a month I landed a job at Steve Madden, something I was excited about because i've applied to Steve Madden a few years ago.
2017 was the year I finally went to Europe, I went to Paris, France with my best friend, which was such an amazing and eye opening experience. Right after I got back from Paris, it was my graduation ceremony, this marked me being officially done with undergraduate.

The Summer of 2017 I embarked on a second job, which was a life goal checked off, I was running the social media for a company(SummerStage-City Parks Foundation). There were some ups and downs but overall it was a good experience and taught me new things for my own social medias.
2017 was a period of growth for me, my business grew, my network and net worth grew. I became a better person and started to care less and became way more selfish.

In 2017 I also had a great loss, I lost one of the most important people in my life, my great grandmother("granny"), she was everything to me, I miss her so much. This death, being that hit so close to home really opened my eyes about death and how quick someone can go, so make sure you're like me and always say "I love you" to those you love and tell everyone how you feel about them.

R.I.P Granny🙌🏽💞

Going into 2018 I want to continue my growth but also start fresh and not look to the past...

*Continued growth in my personal and professional(business)
*Open to new opportunities
*More optimism
*Working even harder towards my goals and dreams, not being lazy and doing something even if I don't feel like
*Sticking to my word
*Less judgmental unless need be
*I still have some ways to go but I will continue to try to not get annoyed at little things
*Trying new things
*Getting out of my comfort zone
*Stop having pre-conceived ideas of everything-Going with the flow
*Be more spontaneous
*Continued happiness and laughter
*Taking care of my body and skin
*Being more honest
*#DontWasteMyTime2018 #ReclaimingMyTime
*Fearless
*More meaningful experiences
*Building my relationship with God even more
*Meaningful relationships
*Love
*More adventures and trips

There are so many things I want to accomplish this year and I plan on doing them all. I pray for more styling opportunities and I pray I never give up on anything, i've come too far.
I want to continue being the best Bria Shari Van Cooten I can be and doing it in style.
I hope everyone is excited for this new year and looking forward and ready to accept all that is coming your way.
God bless, Peace and Love.
